Anixter Center lands a success with the fifth annual Lester J. Anixter Memorial Golf Outing. The June 16 event raised $220,000 to support services for children with disabilities. Next year’s outing will be held on June 15, 2009. Click

The Chicago Tribune Magazine featured Anixter Village in the Sunday, September 2, 2007 cover story. Allan I. Bergman, president and CEO of Anixter Center, and Lynn Ostlund, program manager, were quoted along with founding partner Dr. David G. McLone and several residents.
The story emphasized the importance of independent living for young adults with spina bifida and related disorders.

Diana Nielander, director of Anixter Center’s Lekotek program, recommended toys for children with special needs as a guest of NBC 5 Chicago on Sunday, August 19, 2007.
